I recently received the Marquis "MP977" 10-inch Android tablet. This tablet, unfortunately, doesn't come with one of those flip down cases as the "better" Android tablets do, although the Marquis is a good-quality Android tablet in its own rite.

Since this case is a generic case and can fit any 10" (9.7") tablet, there are a couple of minor adjustments that would need your artistic attention.

On the Marquis, both the charging dock and external storage drive is located on the bottom side (or the opposite side of the power/ volume control buttons)--but the design of the case prohibits a plug from charging the tablet, so I used a exacto blade and a scissor to cut out a square dimension there to allow access.

The case is well built. And the kickstand in the back give you a single 10-degree incline. And, the leatherette material almost passes for genuine leather.

If you're wondering will it fit the dimensions of your 10" tablet, take a look at the Marquis dimensions and go from there because it is a perfect fit.

All in all, for $6, you can beat this deal.

Great no-nonsense approach to home security

Security Veteran Yourself Burglars ebook

If you're looking for a no nonsense, thorough book on home security, then "Kick Ass" Home Security! Veteran Police Officer Reveals Simple Ways to Protect Yourself from Burglars, Thieves, and Other Scum-of-the-Earth! is the book for you. The author is a reliable, knowledgeable source of information, and it shows. (At the time of publication, he had spent 19 years as the supervisor of his department's Crime Prevention/Community Services unit.)

He very clearly and simply explains why, "The only person you can rely on to protect yourself is you." He also goes into detail about the "three things burglars don't like," when most burglaries occur, and how burglars work. Then, he gets to the information everyone wants to know - how to make your home less appealing to burglars! This portion takes up about 3/4 of the book and is very detailed. He includes multiple suggestions for which types of door locks, window locks, alarm systems, peep holes, and safes to purchase. There is something for every budget. In the Kindle edition, there are even links included that take you straight to the product page. Lastly, he includes information on programs that your local Crime Prevention unit may offer, i.e., the Operation I.D. program.

Don't judge this book by it's cover. It is an excellent resource for anyone that wants to make their home more secure. I learned a lot from reading this book, and I think others will too!

Nice backpack with some style

My laptop hard drive crashed on me and I didnt "understand" the importance of backing up my data. The laptop makers sent me a replacement drive however they wanted the bad drive back. Wow, the sound is awesome!

Macally TUNEFAN Speakers Subwoofer Cooling

Have only had a couple of weeks, so I cannot speak to durability. Since that directly effects "Value for money", I cannot rate that aspect.
The little warm spot below the keyboard of my new Dell at my left hand went completely away. Stays totally cool now.
Pandora Radio sounds really good through the speakers. Half a room filling sound.
Intutive installation and plug'n'forget technology. When I close my computer, it shuts itself down - only to restart, again by itself, when I do.
The fan is very quiet, but one can hear it.
Two small complaints; 1. Needs longer power cord. I cannot understand how the engineers wouldn't provide a cord at least as long as my computer power cable. And 2. There are little optional rubber bumpers that may be installed on "clearly marked" locations. If I had Superman eyes, maybe I could see these "clearly marked" locations. As it is, I cannot. Had to go by the illustration. Both complaints together don't amount to much.
I really like the angle this device imparts to my keyboard very much. Feels much more natural.
A product that warrants taking time from my busy, busy life to say something positive about.
