My laptop hard drive crashed on me and I didnt "understand" the importance of backing up my data. The laptop makers sent me a replacement drive however they wanted the bad drive back. I called companies asking how much they charged to retrieve data from a bad hard drive. The prices were ridiculous as I could purchase a new laptop for that price. Thats when a friend suggested this product to me.
At that point I had nothing to lose. I opened the box and had no idea what to do after reading the instructions. I searched for a video demonstration and luckily someone had the exact product and showed the viewers how to hook it up to the hard drive.
I got my data back with no problem and I'm so glad I didnt bother going to a professional company to perform a task I could do.
Learned my lesson and also purchased an external hard drive too...
