If you're looking for a no nonsense, thorough book on home security, then "Kick Ass" Home Security! Veteran Police Officer Reveals Simple Ways to Protect Yourself from Burglars, Thieves, and Other Scum-of-the-Earth! is the book for you. The author is a reliable, knowledgeable source of information, and it shows. (At the time of publication, he had spent 19 years as the supervisor of his department's Crime Prevention/Community Services unit.)

He very clearly and simply explains why, "The only person you can rely on to protect yourself is you." He also goes into detail about the "three things burglars don't like," when most burglaries occur, and how burglars work. Then, he gets to the information everyone wants to know - how to make your home less appealing to burglars! This portion takes up about 3/4 of the book and is very detailed. He includes multiple suggestions for which types of door locks, window locks, alarm systems, peep holes, and safes to purchase. There is something for every budget. In the Kindle edition, there are even links included that take you straight to the product page. Lastly, he includes information on programs that your local Crime Prevention unit may offer, i.e., the Operation I.D. program.

Don't judge this book by it's cover. It is an excellent resource for anyone that wants to make their home more secure. I learned a lot from reading this book, and I think others will too!

I got my data back with no problem and I'm so glad I didnt bother going to a professional company to perform a task I could do.

Macally TUNEFAN Speakers Subwoofer Cooling

Have only had a couple of weeks, so I cannot speak to durability. Since that directly effects "Value for money", I cannot rate that aspect.
The little warm spot below the keyboard of my new Dell at my left hand went completely away. Stays totally cool now.
Pandora Radio sounds really good through the speakers. Half a room filling sound.
Intutive installation and plug'n'forget technology. When I close my computer, it shuts itself down - only to restart, again by itself, when I do.
The fan is very quiet, but one can hear it.
Two small complaints; 1. Needs longer power cord. I cannot understand how the engineers wouldn't provide a cord at least as long as my computer power cable. And 2. There are little optional rubber bumpers that may be installed on "clearly marked" locations. If I had Superman eyes, maybe I could see these "clearly marked" locations. As it is, I cannot. Had to go by the illustration. Both complaints together don't amount to much.
I really like the angle this device imparts to my keyboard very much. Feels much more natural.
A product that warrants taking time from my busy, busy life to say something positive about.

I've had one of these for a couple months now, and thought I'd chime in. My old flash was an 8GB USB 2.0, also from ADATA, but it was a little slow and mostly filled with my 'stuff' that just hung around. I was looking for a USB 3.0 drive. After doing a little research, I thought this 64GB unit would be a good compromise between price and speed. Some others cost twice as much and offer only a little more speed. In fact, the speed of 64GB flash drives with USB 3.0 seem to be all over the map, depending on the manufacturer or the model. Also noted that some of the others could get hot, and may have issues when they do. That probably explains why this one is so large, to dissipate heat when it's really busy. Yes, it's big for a flash drive, and really dwarfs my old unit, when side-by-side. When copying small files (mostly on USB 2.0 machines), it's not so much of a speed demon. However, I copy a lot of files that are megabytes in size, often 10-100MB. That's when this little unit really struts its stuff. I'm pleasantly surprised at how quick it is, and I'm usually not even using units with USB 3.0 ports. I don't understand some of the other comments about the cap falling off, as mine seems sturdy, especially as a cover on the port side when it's unplugged; so maybe they made a physical revision to the unit to improve this.

Fantastic case at any price

I have what my husband calls a "giant" laptop- it has a 17" or 19" screen or something (I can't ever remember which), and it's difficult to find a cooler that will fit under the whole computer. This one works perfectly- it fits completely under my laptop. I really like the option of having "feet," even though I don't always use them. No Cons

So far, I've played both Far Cry 3 and Bioshock Infinite on "Very High" settings (that's one below the highest, "Ultra") and they run extremely smooth, with any lag being a scarce thing. Windows 8 isn't very nice but with a bit of time its completely manageable. Screen is very good definition, as is the webcam. Speakers aren't amazing but certainly aren't terrible; I can still enjoy media through them. Laptop very well built, very solid, and a lot lighter than I expected. Also doesn't heat up very easily and has never gotten very hot for me. I'm sure in a few years this thing will be outdated and I'll have to upgrade (maybe to a desktop) I see this working for a very long time and for the price, can't be beat.

The delivery is fast, one day ahead of schedule and the adapter works right out of the box. Strangely, there is a weak spot on the bottom side, specifically the upper left corner near where the adapter cord originates, discovered by accident while trying to feel if the adapter is over-heated. Well, it is not, in fact, pretty cool to the touch. I have found, however, that by pressing this weak spot, the power gets turned off, but only briefly. It is a problem when the laptop is on AC alone, because the laptop also shuts down requiring a re-boot. The vendor's policy is not to replace but to refund. Would have been nice to get a replacement. Since it otherwise seems to work well - if I refrain from touching the weak spot, I have decided to keep it, for now anyway.

Update 5/2/2013: After more than a week of daily use, the adapter continues to perform well. It is a 65-watt charger, perfect for my Toshiba Protege. The L-shaped connector is a big plus, with a tight fit too, so no more popping out problems as the original Toshiba adapter (the reason why I ordered this one in the first place). The vendor also left a message offering a replacement. This is quite something, obviously a company looking out for its customers. I'll now upgrade the rating from 3 to a well-deserved 5 stars.

Update 5/4/2013: Amazingly, the replacement arrived today. This one is perfect, no weak spots. It simply works, much better than the Toshiba original, too.

I was looking for a backpack to carry on the airplane when I travel that will fit my 17.3 inch widescreen laptop. I put a neoprene sleeve (I already owned) on my laptop and put it in the laptop compartment and it fits perfect that way also! This way I can slip the laptop out for security and it will still be protected. I have not yet gone on my trip but I know this will fit under the seat no problem, I have carried larger backpacks and put them under the seat. It is slim, so you wouldn't be able to carry a lot of big items, but a few books/magazines, ipod, keys, important documents, digital camera and/or small to medium size video camera would all fit fine. The compartments are all padded too which is a plus! Padded back and padded shoulder straps. One small zippered pouch on the very front for easy access to your ipod or passport/boarding pass, etc. The grey is not as light as the picture may suggest. I am very happy with this purchase, I was condsidering other bags, but this one will keep all my gear very well protected. I also would like to add - male or female, this is a nice bag.

It is really a great device. It has turned my iPad into a min-laptop and the most useful device I now use. For travel, it can't be beat. Protects the iPad,, and actually turns it into an INPUT device vs. strickly a tablet for browsing the web.

The keyboard is great. Like all iPad keyboards, it is a little small for man's hands, but it is responsive, and blows away trying to type on the native screen keyboard. What's more, you can move your iPad into any number of useful positions, and even detatch it and use as a tablet while still protected by the back of the cover (this was not evident to me by the videos, but I was glad to see it was designed this way).

I wish the right shift key was a little wider, but it's a small price to pay for this functinality.

The battery life is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I have been heavily using it all day every day for 5 days, have not turned it off once, and it still has battery.

It is really a great device. It has turned my iPad into a min-laptop and the most useful device I now use. For travel, it can't be beat. Protects the iPad,, and actually turns it into an INPUT device vs. strickly a tablet for browsing the web.
