Great back pack, perfect for a graphics designer.

Case Logic VNB 217 17 Inch Backpack

I was looking for a backpack to carry on the airplane when I travel that will fit my 17.3 inch widescreen laptop. I didn't want it to be huge because I also pack a rolling carry-on full of my dive gear. The padded laptop compartment fits my laptop with room to spare. I put a neoprene sleeve (I already owned) on my laptop and put it in the laptop compartment and it fits perfect that way also! This way I can slip the laptop out for security and it will still be protected. I have not yet gone on my trip but I know this will fit under the seat no problem, I have carried larger backpacks and put them under the seat. It is slim, so you wouldn't be able to carry a lot of big items, but a few books/magazines, ipod, keys, important documents, digital camera and/or small to medium size video camera would all fit fine. The compartments are all padded too which is a plus! Padded back and padded shoulder straps. One small zippered pouch on the very front for easy access to your ipod or passport/boarding pass, etc. The grey is not as light as the picture may suggest. I am very happy with this purchase, I was condsidering other bags, but this one will keep all my gear very well protected. I also would like to add - male or female, this is a nice bag.
