I recently received a Sony Blu-ray Player as a gift and was excited to see that it was Internet ready, or so I thought based on the packaging. I soon found out that I would need an expensive Sony adapter (costing nearly the same amount that was paid for the player). Luckily I read a review on this website from someone who had gotten such a player and wasn't able to connect it to the Internet (for the purposes of streming movies, etc) until he/she learned of the Edimax Range Extender. So I purchased the Edimax EW-7228APn Wireless Range Extender/Access Point and I can now enjoy such programs as the Berlin Philharmonic concerts on my Blu-ray player. I could not on my own figure out how to connect the range extender to the player and make it work, so I called Edimax and received very thorough technical assistance from Edimax. It took several hours and loads of patience on the part of the Edimax tech support person to get my Blu-ray player connected to the Internet, but it worked and it cost me less than half of the price of the Sony adapter.
