The delivery is fast, one day ahead of schedule and the adapter works right out of the box. Strangely, there is a weak spot on the bottom side, specifically the upper left corner near where the adapter cord originates, discovered by accident while trying to feel if the adapter is over-heated. Well, it is not, in fact, pretty cool to the touch. I have found, however, that by pressing this weak spot, the power gets turned off, but only briefly. It is a problem when the laptop is on AC alone, because the laptop also shuts down requiring a re-boot. The vendor's policy is not to replace but to refund. Would have been nice to get a replacement. Since it otherwise seems to work well - if I refrain from touching the weak spot, I have decided to keep it, for now anyway.
Update 5/2/2013: After more than a week of daily use, the adapter continues to perform well. It is a 65-watt charger, perfect for my Toshiba Protege. The L-shaped connector is a big plus, with a tight fit too, so no more popping out problems as the original Toshiba adapter (the reason why I ordered this one in the first place). The vendor also left a message offering a replacement. This is quite something, obviously a company looking out for its customers. I'll now upgrade the rating from 3 to a well-deserved 5 stars.
Update 5/4/2013: Amazingly, the replacement arrived today. This one is perfect, no weak spots. It simply works, much better than the Toshiba original, too.
Power adapter arrived faster than expected, worked perfectly, and was an excellent value! I recommend this product to anyone needing a replacement AC adapter.
BalasHapusSo far so good. I purchased the original Toshiba type prior to this one and it only lasted 2 weeks. I decided to try this one instead. I like that it has the 3 prongs - my last 2 only had 2 prongs and everytime plugged it in, it sparked. So far I haven't had any problems with it.

BalasHapusI needed a replacement since my old power cable broke. This one works and the 90 degree jack will make it more durable than the original.
BalasHapusI am thoroughly pleased with this purchase!! The cord that comes standard with the Toshiba Satellite laptop I have is crap, and the power plug sticks out nearly 3-4" and is in constant danger if getting bumped or worse, could break the internal plug-in of the laptop. THIS IS A MUST NEEDED ITEM!!!! With the angled plug the danger of this ever damaging the plug-in is much less of a fear of mine now!!! DON'T HESITATE BUY THIS ITEM IMMEDIATELY, IF YOU OWN A TOSHIBA SATELLITE LAPTOP!!! WORKS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!
BalasHapusDelivered when promised (expedited shipping), and it is better than the adapter that came with my Toshiba laptop. Unlike the original adapter, it has an LED to indicate when it is receiving power, and the plug to the computer port is angled, so it does not stick out as far and is less prone to breaking (very important when you have small children, which is what happened with my original adapter). Very pleased with this purchase.

If you have issues with the original charger, such as the 3 inches it protrudes from the laptop when charging - this is the solution. Although i have only had it one month, it is a very good charger, works just as fast if not faster than the original. Most importantly the 90 degree angle plug makes it much easier to use and not fret about the charging connection bending under slight stress.
